A Contemporary Medicine Woman
Chani Greiner has been studying natural and alternative healthcare since 2003. As a small child, Chani had many medical issues that could not be explained. When modern medicine couldn't help her, she turned her attention to alternative medicine. Chani began her studies with Susun Weed in the spring of 2003. She lived with Susun on her farm in Woodstock, NY for six weeks and learned about identifying and using medicinal herbs, spirit healing through Shamanic healing techniques, green allies, Tai Chi, Yoga, and was introduced to the Wise Woman Tradition and the 3 paths of healing (Wise Woman, Heroic and Scientific). She began to heal herself and was enthralled to learn how to help others do the same.
Over the next decade and a half, she worked full time and learned everything she could about healthcare and natural medicine. She enrolled in the Master Herbalist course through the American College of Healthcare Sciences for one year. After ACHS, she moved to Fairfield, Iowa and studied Ayurvedic Medicine at the Maharishi University of management where she was formerly trained in Transcendental Meditation with instruction from the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. She learned Sanskrit, dove into the world of Quantum Physics, and took several intensive courses on Ayurvedic Medicine. When she returned to her home in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate NY, she took Susun Weed’s Green Witch correspondence course (1 year of learning about herbal remedies, creating a deeper connection to the earth, learning practical magic, developing medicine making skills and learning about goddess spirituality studies).
She completed her 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Natural Health Studies through Clayton College of Natural Health in 2009. Over the years, she has had formal Reiki energetic healing training from Patricia Dionne-Dickson and Wanda Eagleton. Chani has earned the Usui Reiki GrandMaster Certificate (level eight) as well as many other modalities of Reiki and energetic imprinting techniques. Chani is a Registered Healer (Reiki) and Healing Touch Practitioner (Reiki). Chani is a non-denominational minister and has performed several non-denominational marriage ceremonies that are officially recognized by the State.
As of 2017, Chani holds a Bachelor in Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Natural Healthcare Studies and is a board certified Holistic Health Practitioner through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

Words To Live By
pieces by Max Ehrmann ( his actual poem here)
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Be yourself. Follow your dreams. Let life guide you and learn from the lessons you are given. Especially, do not feign affection or be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars. You have a right to be here, and whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Go into the world with love and light as you always get back what you give - for even with all it's sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
